Apple Sauce Cake

This cake is so good. The little divots that melt down are the best part of the cake. The recipe came from Daphne's Dandelions.

1/4 tsp. nutmeg
1/2 cup applesauce

I've had similar recipes to this, and I love how moist the applesauce keeps the cake. Looks delicious!

I need to have a slice with my coffee tomorrow morning. I bet it smelled delicious while baking, not to mention how it would taste!

Hello from Uplyme, Devon, England.
I already have a wonderful recipe for "Paradise Cake" from an old Canadian cookery book which encouraged me to look up further Canadian recipes.
I found your Apple Sauce Cake recipe and couldn't wait to try it. I've not seen an apple sauce cake before. Absolutely delicious, totally scrumptious. My family and friends loved it. I am making another one tomorrow on request. It's such a straight forward method and so more-ish. Thank you, Elizabeth
