Milk Chocolate and Peanut Butter Hot Cocoa

Everyone loves hot chocolate and this recipe will be no exception. This recipe came from the February 2011 issue of Martha Stewart magazine.

Milk Chocolate and Peanut Butter Hot Cocoa

Ingredients:

2 cups milk
1 cup half and half
1 cup milk chocolate, chopped
1/4 cup creamy peanut butter

Directions:

In medium sized saucepan combine milk and cream and warm them.
Add the chocolate and whisk until melted and combined.
Continue to warm mixture until it thickens, about 5 minutes.
Whisk in peanut butter until it is smooth.
Pour into cups and top with whipped cream.

That sounds absolutely amazing! My husband and I have been really into hot chocolate with Bailey's lately, I think we'll have to add the peanut butter to the mix now!

Oh wow, that's just so simple and it looks amazing. :)
The irritating thing is I had a full container of cocoa in my cupboard and someone threw it away a month ago. I've been avoiding way too many chocolate recipes because of it, and this hot chocolate is just the last straw. Cocoa here I come! :P

I'm saw this recipe too and can't wait to try it, I would love to do the ice lolly version, they looked fantastic. Still it's a bit too cold for that so I, like you will be sticking with the hot chocolate for now. x

That sounds WONDERFUL- I wish I'd stumbled onto your recipe sooner, though because this would have come in handy during some of our winter storms! :)
