Hey, this is a great twist on an old favourite. My hubby loves butter tarts, but I find them a pain to make. This is an excellent alternative!

knatolee....they are really easy to make..and taste great...you could even add a bit of maple syrup to them... :)

That's amazing how simple those are. The possibilities are endless, even though I bet they are great just like that.

I tried and the topping boiled over the dish. I think 2 tbsp of baking powdwe is to much. Maybe a typo...2 tsp of baking powder ould seem right. top burnt as well because it was so high.

conrad...yes it was a typo...I have changed it..sorry it did not turn out....if you try them again with the proper baking powder it will be much better... :)

My hubby doesn't care for raisins, do you think you could use something else, like dates, or pineapple in the tarts?

Hendria said...

anonymous...not sure about the pineapple..but you could give it a try...You could use walnuts, pecans instead of the raisins...you could also cut up the raisins and add the nuts and he may not notice....:)

These remind me of a delicious bread pudding, all nice and compacted in a bar. Sounds sooo good! I would love to feature your recipe in our Demy, the first and only digital recipe reader. You can find out more about the Demy here: http://mydemy.com/

Please email sophiekiblogger@gmail.com if you're interested. Thanks and have a great weekend :)!
